ClassTag Raises $5M in Seed Funding

ClassTag, a NYC-based provider of parent-teacher communication tools, raised $5m in seed financing.

Backers included AlleyCorp, Contour Ventures, Founder Collective, John Martinson, Newark Venture Partners, Smart Hub and TMT Investments.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Founded in 2015 by Vlada Lotkina and Jason Olim, ClassTag is a communication platform for school leaders, parents and teachers, customizable to individual needs with automated translation in 60+ languages and multi-channel reach via SMS, email, apps or web. The company also supports remote learning in early education and elementary, engaging parents in the educational process with scheduling, classroom management, communication and learning tools. ClassTag currently serves over two million parents and teachers across 25,000 schools.
