SOS LAB Closes USD8M Series A+ Funding

SOS LAB, a Gwangju, South Korea-based “LiDAR” sensor startup company, secured series A+ investment of a total of USD 8M.

The round, which brought the total capital raised so far to $14M, was led by Korea Development Bank, with participation from the IPO team of Yuanta Securities, A ventures, Emford Equity Partners, Ulmus Investment, KDB Capital, Shinhan Capital and Shinhan Financial Group.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand its development efforts.

Led by Jiseong Jeong, CEO, SOS LAB provides LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) sensors based on in-house technology, which aims to make autonomous vehicles, industry, robotics, and smart city safe. Its new product can detect distant objects by delivering high power despite its small size.
