Emtrain, a San Francisco, CA-based online workplace culture platform for companies diagnose, benchmark and prevent bad workplace culture outcomes, received $8m in funding.

The round was led by Education Growth Partners. Signature Bank provided a $2m facility to complement the equity investment.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its culture tech platform to provide on-demand monitoring and analysis of key indicators.

Led by Janine Yancey, Founder and CEO, Emtrain provides a workplace culture platform that allows users to benchmark their culture against a global community to identify issues before they become toxic problems that become compliance issues and destroy culture. The company partners with industry experts and uses current events to teach on topics such as sexual harassment, unconscious bias, and ethics. The platform is used by more than 800 companies, such as Netflix, Yelp, Dolby, LiveNation, and others.
