Qarnot, a Montrouge, France-based developer of computer servers that also heat buildings, raised €6m in funding.

Backers included Banque des Territoires, Caisse des Dépôts, Engie Rassembleur d’Énergies, A/O PropTech, and Groupe Casino.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Co-founded by Paul Benoit and Miroslav Sviezeny, Qarnot reuses waste heat from computing servers to heat buildings. To this end, the company designed the Q.rad, a computing heater embedding microprocessors as a source for buildings. Q.rads are present in every room embedding more than 20 sensors.
