Index Ventures Raises $2 Billion In New Funds

According to a blog post, global venture capital firm Index Ventures raised $2 billion in new funds.

Limited partners included research organisations, universities, medical institutes and pension funds.

The new unspecified vehicles will support emerging entrepreneurs.

Founded in 1996, Index Ventures is a venture capital firm based in London, San Francisco and Geneva, investing (at the seed, venture and growth stages) in entrepreneurs who are using technology to reshape the world around us to turn their ideas into transformative international businesses.

The firm has partnered with entrepreneurs in Europe, the U.S. and Israel with portfolio companies including Adyen, Deliveroo, Dropbox, Farfetch, King, Robinhood, Slack and Supercell.
