Forager, a Chicago, IL-based technology company providing cross-border solutions to the logistics industry, raised $10m in Series A financing round.
The round, which brought total funding since launch to $14.5m, was led by U.S. Venture Partners with participation from existing investors Chicago Ventures and new investor Soma Capital. In conjunction with the funding, USVP General Partner Rick Lewis will join Forager’s Board of Directors. Forager also appointed Signal founder Marc Kiven as President, and FeedBurner co-Founder and VSCO Director of Engineering Eric Lunt to the board.
The company intends to use the funds to grow its engineering and product teams to expedite product development as well as add additional logistics experts and talent.
Led by Chief Executive Officer Matt Silver, Forager provides shippers with a comprehensive cross-border pricing and booking portal to instantly book, track, and manage any load between the US, Mexico, and Canada with management support from a multilingual operations team. Launched in October of 2019, SCOUT by Forager will be updated in Spring of 2020 with additional products to come later this year.
