Sweat Equity Ventures Launches Value Accelerator Model of VC

Sweat Equity Ventures

San Francisco, CA-based Sweat Equity Ventures (SEV) has launched a value accelerator model to create value rather than deploying capital.

Created by former Greylock talent partner Dan Portillo and funded by limited partner Reid Hoffman, the $30m fund will cover the operating costs of SEV’s work on behalf of portfolio companies.

SEV invests in B2B and enterprise companies between Seed and Series B rounds. Following the close of the deal, the firm becomes an extension of the founding team to massively accelerate growth and turn innovative visions into viable and valuable businesses.

Comprised of a complete team of some of tech’s most sought-after operators and leaders, the firm provides the expertise and networks founders need to massively accelerate progress across three essential vectors of value:

  • recruiting,
  • product development, and
  • go-to-market.

Current portfolio companies include Colony Labs, Dessa, Elev8, LTSE, Newfront, Nuro.ai, Swoop, Ubiquity6, and Verta.
