Alkymi, a NYC-based startup that automatically frees data from email and documents through a Data Inbox for enterprises, raised $5M in seed funding.

Canaan led the round with participation from prior investor Work-Bench and new investor SimCorp. Joydeep Bhattacharyya – General Partner at Canaan – will join Alkymi’s board.

The company will use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.

Co-founded in 2017 by Harald Collet (CEO), Adam Kleczewski (Chief Data Scientist) and Steven She (CTO), Alkymi is delivering a Data Inbox to the enterprise, freeing huge volumes of data from the email morass through engineering, data science, and machine learning. The company’s machine learning-based platform frees that data from email and makes it instantly actionable in existing business processes such as finance, operations, human resources, CRM, sales, and IT. Alkymi is also partnering with global investment software provider SimCorp to bring insight and automation to SimCorp’s clients.
