Juro, a London, UK- and Riga, Lettonia-based contract management platform provider, raised $5m in Series A funding.

The round, which brought Series A raised to date to $8m, was led by Union Square Ventures, with participation from existing investors Point Nine Capital, Seedcamp, Taavet Hinrikus (co-founder of TransferWise) and Paul Forster (co-founder of Indeed). In conjunction with the funding, John Buttrick, partner at USV, will join the Board.

The company intends to use the funds to double-down on its data proposition, triple the size of its product team and continue to expand its customer base in the EU and US.

Founded in 2016 by former Freshfields lawyer Richard Mabey and Pavel Kovalevich, Juro provides a machine learning powered contract management platform which transforms legal contracts from static files into dynamic, modular agreements integrating with core business processes like Sales and HR workflows.

The company has customers operating in 50 countries. It has processed more than 50,000 contracts for customers like Deliveroo, Skyscanner, Envoy, Babylon Health and Reach.
