Defendify, a Portland, Maine-based SaaS cybersecurity platform developer, closed a $2m seed funding round.
The round was led by existing investor 3dot6 Ventures with participation from York IE, Maine Technology Institute (MTI), Maine Venture Fund (MVF), FreshTracks Capital, and Wasabi Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its core product, invest in sales and marketing, and make strategic hires.
Co-founded by Andrew Rinaldi and Rob Simopoulos, Defendify provides a SaaS cybersecurity platform for small businesses and channel partners to get multiple layers of ongoing protection to continuously their improve security posture.
In the last 18 months, Defendify has raised a total of $3.6 million, added thousands of users and doubled its employee count.
