Curricula, an Atlanta, GA-based provider security awareness training and phishing simulation platform, raised $3m in growth funding.

RCP Equity made the investment. As a result of the transaction, Kevin Hatch, Partner at RCP Equity and former CFO at AppRiver, has joined Curricula’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand their sales and marketing strategy, enhance their platform capabilities, and begin expansion into the MSP channels.

Founded in 2015 and led by Nick Santora, CEO, Curricula provides a security awareness training and phishing simulation platform that focuses on connecting employees with heroes, villains, and memorable security stories. Employees even become part of the story as they actively defend against DeeDee, Curricula’s AI villain hacker. DeeDee is also available in Curricula’s platform to send simulated phishing tests to employees. This approach trains employees how to defend against real-world phishing tests delivered right to their inbox, while making the entire experience fun.
