Sequoia Capital Secures Nearly $3.4 Billion For US and China Funds

sequoiaSequoia Capital, a Menlo Park, California-based venture capital firm, raised nearly 3.4 billion dollars for two funds investing in later-stage U.S. companies, and venture and growth investments in China.

In the U.S., Sequoia Capital U.S. Growth Fund VIII, L.P. raised $998.5m, with 120 limited partners invested in the fund.
In China, the firm closed $1.7995 billion Sequoia Capital China Growth Fund V, L.P. and $549.5m for Sequoia Capital China Venture Fund VII, L.P.

Led by Doug Leone, Roelof Botha, Michael Moritz, and other partners, the firm is a venture capital firm mainly focused on the technology industry. The firm manages multiple investment funds including funds specific to India, Israel, and China.
It has offices in Menlo Park, Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi, Singapore, Tel Aviv, Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
