Crafter Software, a Reston, VA-based provider of innovative web content management solutions, closed its first institutional round of funding from Lighter Capital.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to expand the commercial adoption of its open source Crafter CMS platform.
Led by Mike Vertal, President and CEO, Crafter Software is a provider of enterprise support and services for Crafter CMS, the open source headless content management system. Focused on enterprises of all sizes to build and operate modern digital experiences, the company’s commercial offerings include both self-managed private cloud and fully-managed Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) deployment and support models. Both offerings are sold as recurring, annual support subscriptions.
Enterprise customers range from Fortune 500 enterprises to digital native startups and large government agencies — all running mission critical, highly scalable websites and various multi-channel experiences across all types of digital channels.
