SimpleCitizen Raises $5.8M in Seed Plus Growth Financing

simplecitizenSimpleCitizen, a Salt Lake City, UT-based digital immigration and visa solution designed to streamline the immigraton process for people and companies, closed a $5.8 million in seed plus growth financing.

The round, which brought total funding to over $6.3m to date, was led by Kickstart Seed Fund with participation from Pelion Ventures, Peterson Venture Partners, TSVC, Y Combinator, AppleTree Capital, Kima Ventures, Comcast Ventures, LP, and Investo.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach and continue to develop its platform.

Led by Sam Stoddard, CEO and co-founder, SimpleCitizen provides a digital immigration and visa solution designed to streamline the employer-sponsored visa process for global enterprise companies and the path to citizenship for candidates to safely and accurately apply, submit, and stay on top of their immigration status from visa all the way to naturalization.
To date, the company’s software has empowered thousands of immigrants to complete applications.
