Elsevier Buys 3D Anatomy Technology Company 3D4Medical

3D4MedicalElsevier, a global information analytics business specializing in science and health, and part of Relx, acquired 3D4Medical, the global anatomy education company headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

3D4Medical joined Elsevier’s health education offerings.

Led by John Moore, Founder, 3D4Medical created Complete Anatomy, an advanced 3D anatomy platform, enabling students, educators, health professionals and patients to improve their way to understand and interact with anatomy.
So far, Complete Anatomy has garnered more than a million registered users at more than 300 of the world’s top universities.
The company has 75 employees.

Elsevier is a global leader in anatomy education and content, with brands including Netter’s Atlas of Human Anatomy, Gray’s Anatomy, Sobotta Atlas of Human Anatomy and McMinn & Abrahams’ Clinical Atlas of Human Anatomy.
