Banyan Security Raises $17M in Funding

banyanBanyan Security, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of cloud-centric secure remote access solutions based on Zero Trust security principles, closed a $17m funding round.

The round was led by Shasta Ventures, with participation from Unusual Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to grow operations, develop its solutions and expand its business reach.

Led by Jayanth Gummaraju, Co-Founder and CEO, Banyan Security provides a Zero Trust Remote Access platform that gives remote access to corporate resources hosted in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The solution enhances security by reducing attack surface, eliminating lateral movement, and preventing unauthorized access. Utilizing innovative TrustScoring powered by machine learning, the company ensures both users and devices are authenticated and authorized before granting granular least privilege access to sensitive corporate applications and servers. The platform is currently used by enterprises across verticals including healthcare, manufacturing, and technology.
