Rubicon Project (NYSE:RUBI), a Los Angeles, California-based global exchange for advertising, acquired RTK.io, a New York City-based provider of tools and services for publishers to control header bidding, for $11m.
RTK’s technology and team enable Rubicon to extend its Demand Manager product portfolio and client base. In the coming months, the company plans to integrate the two solutions to address the needs of publishers globally.
Founded in 2014 and led by Gareth Glaser, CEO, RTK is a programmatic infrastructure and ad operations company providing publishers with an integrated user interface to configure, install, and implement a complete header bidding solution with reporting and analytics capabilities.
Its solution is built on Prebid, the same open source framework as Demand Manager, the header bidding solution Rubicon Project launched in May 2019.

Founded in 2007 and led by Michael Barrett, President and CEO, Rubicon Project is an advertising exchange for websites and apps to sell ads easily and safely. In addition, agencies and brands use its technology to execute billions of advertising transactions each month.
