Picus Security Secures $5M In Series A Funding

picusPicus Security, a San Francisco, CA-based platform for Breach and Attack Simulation, raised $5m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Earlybird. In conjunction with the funding, Cem Sertoğlu, partner of Earlybird Ventures, joined Picus Security’s board of directors.

The company, which previously had raised $1.7m led by ACT-VC, intends to use the funds to expand operations and global growth.

Led by Hamdi Alper Memis, CEO and Co-Founder, Picus Security offers Continuous Security Validation and Mitigation via a platform that measures the effectiveness of defenses by using emerging threat samples in production environments, providing the insight required to build the right security strategy to manage complex operations better.
With its security validation approach, the solution identifies imminent threats, enables the most viable defense actions and allows businesses to understand cybersecurity risks.
