Zestful Secures $5M In Seed Funding

paymentZestful, a Denver, CO-based provider of a platform enabling companies to offer a customizable employee perk program, raised $5m in seed funding.

The round, which brought total funding to $6.2m, was led by Thrive Capital, with participation from Box Group, Y Combinator, Matchstick Ventures, Third Kind Capital, and Shrug Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to invest in the product.

Founded by Mat Vogels, Zestful provides companies with a solution to create perks and rewards program for their employees, without the reimbursement process. The Zestful Perk Card works like a regular debit card but only allows purchases of products approved in the Zestful Catalog, and only up to balance given by the company (e.g. $100 a month). The catalog includes popular services like Netflix, Spotify, Uber, meal delivery services, gym memberships, travel, and more.
Launched earlier this year, the company has expanded its perks catalog to over 1,300 options, enabled more than 300 donations to charity, and on-boarded more than 100 companies across 14 countries to its platform.
