Zen Educate Secures £5.6M in Funding

zen educateZen Educate, a London, UK-based online education staffing platform, raised £5.6m in funding.

The round, which brought total total funding to date to £8.2m, was led by Brighteye Ventures, with participation from existing investors Adjuvo and Nick Hungerford.

The company intends to use the funds to improve the platform, rollout across new geographies across the UK, and triple the size of the team.

Led by Slava Kremerman, co-founder and CEO, Zen Educate provides a digital staffing platform, which allows schools to search and book available supply teachers. The platform works with 10% of schools in London, and over 4,000 teachers.
Launched in 2017, the company now aims to onboard an additional 2,000 schools and 20,000 teachers, while growing their 20-person team to 60 by year end. It will continue to invest into its ‘match algorithm’ that provides an intelligent matching solution for short and long term roles.
