Veeva Systems to Buy Crossix Solutions, for $430M

veevaVeeva Systems (NYSE:VEEV), a Pleasanton, Calif.-based provider of a cloud-based software platform for the global life sciences industry, is to acquire Crossix Solutions, a New York based provider of privacy-safe patient data and analytics solutions, for $430M.

The acquisition is expected to close in November, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory reviews.

Crossix will operate as an independent business unit under its current brand led by Evenhaim and will remain headquartered in New York with operations in Israel and Belarus.

Founded in 2005 and led by CEO Asaf Evenhaim, Crossix provides an analytics platform that connects health and non-health data for more than 300 million U.S. patients to drive marketing effectiveness. Data includes Rx, OTC, clinical, claims, consumer, hospital, media data, and more – all of which are protected by privacy safeguards.
The solution is used by more than 200 pharmaceutical brands including the top 20 pharma companies, leading health systems, pharmacies and other wellness brands.

Led by founder and CEO Peter Gassner, Veeva is a provider of cloud-based software for the global life sciences industry. The company serves more than 775 customers, ranging from the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies to emerging biotechs.
