Unbabel Closes $60M Series C Funding Round

unbabelUnbabel, a Lisbon, Portugal-based platform for translating customer service messages, closed a $60m Series C funding round.

The round was led by Point72 Ventures, with participation from Greycroft, Indico Capital Partners and e.ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to grow in the US, Europe and Asia, as well as to enhance AI capabilities.

Co-founded by Vasco Pedro, CEO, and João Graça, CTO, Unbabel provides a human-quality translation service powered by AI and a global community of over 100k translators that gives global companies the chance to serve customers in their native language.
The solution integrates with Zendesk, Salesforce, Helpshift, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Freshdesk, Intercom, Genesys and PureCloud, among other popular services.

The company is building out an artificial intelligence research lab in Pittsburgh.
