Sphera, a Chicago, IL-based provider of Integrated Risk Management software and information services with a focus on Environmental Health & Safety, Operational Risk and Product Stewardship, acquired thinkstep, a Stuttgart, Germany-based software and information services company that specializes in Corporate Sustainability and Product Stewardship.
The deal, announced in July 2019, was completed after German regulatory authorities approved the acquisition.
The Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Led by Jan Poulsen, CEO, thinkstep offers three types of software solutions:
– GaBi for product sustainability, a lifecycle analysis tool;
– SoFI for corporate sustainability; and
– IMM/CPM, BOMcheck and EC4P, which is a suite of product compliance solutions that offer end-to-end capabilities for the supply chain, product design, manufacturing and end-of-life periods.
The company’s 20 offices worldwide serve more than 8,000 clients.
