Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) acquired Movere (formerly known as Unified Logic), a Bellevue, WA-based technology provider in the cloud migration space.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
With the acquisition, Microsoft will provide customers with a comprehensive experience for migrating existing applications and infrastructure to Azure.
Movere’s discovery and assessment capabilities will complement Azure Migrate and its integrated partner solutions, making migration an easier process for customers.
Established in 2008 and led by CEO Kristin Ireland, Chief Evangelist Andrew Ireland, and Chief Operating Officer Amanda Spraker, Movere provides a SaaS platform that provides the data and insights needed to plan cloud migrations and continuously optimize, monitor and analyze IT environments.
The company’s agentless bots scan 1,000 servers per hour to capture everything in an IT environment, then surfaces that information into a dynamic and customizable dashboard. Additionally, it analyzes the data, then highlights the key insights IT administrators need to have visibility and control over their environment.
