Kenna Security, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of enterprise risk-based vulnerability management solutions, raised $48m in series D funding.
Backers included new investors Sorenson Capital and Citi Ventures and existing investors Bessemer Venture Partners, U.S. Venture Partners, Costanoa Ventures, Hyde Park Angels, and OurCrowd. In conjunction with the funding, Ken Elefant, Managing Director of Sorenson Capital, will join Kenna Security’s board of directors.
The company, which brings Kenna’s total raised to $98m, intends to use the funds to continue to accelerate its international expansion and drive further innovation.

AppDefense is a data center security product that protects applications running in virtualized environments.
