Jasper Raises $2.3M in Seed Funding

real estateJasper, an Auckland, New Zealand-based commercial real estate startup, raised $2.3M in seed funding.

The round was led by M7 Real Estate, with participation from Icehouse Ventures, James Property Group and RCP.

The company intends to use the funds to increase their engineering capacity, grow out their acquisitions team and accelerate their licensing applications in multiple territories prior to launch.

Founded by Mark Hurley, Mark Campbell and Oliver Shaw, Jasper is a proptech company providing access to commercial real estate investment opportunities. The platform will allow investors to purchase fractional ownership in high-quality commercial properties using a digitized onboarding, accreditation and subscription process.
The company also plans on providing a secondary market, allowing investors the potential to sell their equity to other investors, giving liquidity in a traditionally illiquid asset class.

Jasper is launching in New Zealand and Australia this year, with expansion planned for Asia-Pacific, Europe and the US within the next three years.
