Front Range Biosciences Secures $8.5M in Funding

Front Range BiosciencesFront Range Biosciences, a Lafayette, CO-based agricultural biotech company, raised $8.5m in funding.

Backers included Militello Capital, Welcan Capital, AFI Capital, Phyto Partners, Harvard Business School Alumni Angels of New York, New York Angels, Sand Hill Angels XVI, LLC, Arcadian Capital Management, Halley Venture Partners LP and Salveo Capital, as well as other returning investors.

The company intends to use the funds to continues to expand its hemp and cannabis portfolio.

Led by Jon Vaught, CEO and Co-Founder, Front Range Biosciences is a technology provider for the breeding and production of new plant varieties and seeds in hemp, coffee and regulated cannabis industries.
By expanding hemp seed production both nationally and globally, alongside its young plant program, FRB’s production capabilities will multiply in 2020.
In a little more than three years of operations, the company has built over 160,000 square feet of facilities in Colorado, California, and Wisconsin, acquired a cannabis genomics team and shipped millions of plants to farmers and growers across the country.
