DeadHappy Raises £4M in Series A Funding

deadhappyDeadHappy, a Leicester, U.K.-based life insurtech startup, raised £4m in Series A funding.

Backers included e.ventures and Octopus Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to further build the technology and capabilities of its platform and expand its product and partnership offerings to financial service distributors.

Founded in 2017 by Phil Zeidler and Andy Knott, DeadHappy offers flexible life insurance policies whose pricing is based on current facts and the option to add or remove further coverage on a rolling basis.
The startup is also building a platform which will allow people to specify how they wish any future insurance payout to be used, such as pay off debts, pay off mortgage, pay for funeral, give someone cash, send someone on holiday, pay for some education, etc.
