Uniphore Raises $51M in Series C Funding

uniphoreUniphore, a Palo Alto, CA-, and Chennai, India-based conversational AI technology company, raised $51M in Series C funding.

The round was led by March Capital Partners, with participation from Chiratae Ventures (formerly IDG Ventures), Sistema Asia, CXO Fund, ITP, Iron Pillar, Patni Family, plus other investors.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its go-to-market in North America, invest in research and development and grow its talented employee base globally.

Led by Umesh Sachdev, CEO and Co-founder, Uniphore provides an AI powered conversational technology platform for businesses globally to engage their consumers, build loyalty and realize efficiencies via analytics, assistant and security features.
Customers include BNP Paribas, NTT Data, and PNB MetLife, among others.

The company recently hired:
– Annie Weckesser, veteran of Cisco and NIO, who joined as Chief Marketing and People Officer,
– Jafar Syed, who joined as Chief Strategy & Growth Officer from NTT Data,
– Karen Smith, former executive at Directly and Convergys, who started with Uniphore as Chief Revenue Officer, and
– Mary Ann Bianco, who joined as Chief Customer Officer.
