Podcorn Raises $2.2M in Seed Funding

podcorn-founders-headshotPodcorn, a Los Angeles, CA-based marketplace enabling podcasters and brands to collaborate for native branded content, raised $2.2M in seed funding.

The round was led by Global Founders Capital, with participation from Bessemer, 500 Startups, Alumni Ventures Group, and others.

The company will use the funds to advance the product development of its proprietary advertising and distribution platform.

Led by Agnes Kozera, and David Kierzkowski, Podcorn is a self-service marketplace for brands to find and collaborate with the right podcasters to create more authentic ads through native branded content. This allow brands to take the pain out of finding and sponsoring on-demand audio shows and podcasters to monetize their voices in a way that is engaging for listeners.

Kozera and Kierzkowsk have already proven this business model effective through their previous venture, FameBit, the influencer marketing platform acquired by Google in 2016.
