Coinmine Raises $2.5M in Seed Funding Round

Coinmine OneCoinmine, a Los Angeles, CA-based consumer crypto hardware and software company, raised $2.5m in seed financing.

The round was led by M13, with participation from Republic Labs, Gumi Crypto, Canaan Beta and early Uber investor Shervin Pishevar.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its engineering team to continue adding new features, as well as new cryptocurrencies to its operating system, MineOS.

Led by CEO Farbood Nivi, Coinmine provides a plug-n-play crypto device completely controlled from iOS and Android mobile apps.
The operating system, MineOS, is a plug-n-play way for users to get access to the newest tokens like Grin, which was available on launch day on the Coinmine One, but not available for purchase on exchanges. MineOS also includes the software to run the Bitcoin Lightning Network and a full Bitcoin Node which the company will release in an upcoming update.
