DataGrail Raises $5M in Funding

datagrailDataGrail, a San Francisco, CA-based privacy platform for companies to comply with new and emerging privacy regulations like Europe’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California’s Consumer Protection Act (CCPA), raised an additional $5M in funding.

The round, which brought total funding raised to date to $9.2M, was led by existing investor Cloud Apps Capital. In addition to this, Mallun Yen, founding team of SaaStr, RPX Corporation [and ChIPsNetwork.org] and former VP of Worldwide Intellectual Property at Cisco Systems, Inc., will join the DataGrail board.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its business reach.

Led by Daniel Barber, CEO & Co-founder, DataGrail provides a purpose-built privacy management platform, which enables users to comply with worldwide privacy laws including Europe’s GDPR, California’s CCPA, and more. The system directly integrates with more than 100 business systems, such as Salesforce, Adobe, Oracle, AWS and Azure, enabling companies to discover and map personal data in seconds, operationalize the privacy request workflow in minutes and unify email preferences across all customer facing applications.
Customers include Databricks, G2, and Intercom, among others.
