4th & Heart Raises $7.6M in Series C Funding

fourth and heart4th & Heart, a Los Angeles, CA-based artisanal food brand offering a flavored line of products featuring grass-fed ghee, closed a $7.6m series C funding round.

The round was led by Harbinger Ventures with participation from Cambridge Companies SPG, Blueberry Ventures, Boulder Food Group, Monogram Capital Partners, Finn Capital Partners, and Everplus Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to bolster its innovation and distribution channels, expanding the brand’s reach.

Founded in 2015 by Raquel Tavares, CEO, 4th & Heart offers kitchen essentials including carries 21 skus of ghee butter spreads, oils and chocolate spreads, which are made by utilizing the ancient Ayurvedic staple, ghee, commonly known as clarified butter in the West.
The company’s products are sold nationwide in over 10,000 stores, including Amazon, Whole Foods, Kroger, Sprouts, Gelson’s and more.
Furthering access to its range of necessities, 4th & Heart will expand new availability of its items, including clarified butter spreads, into Target, including their SuperTarget and PFresh stores nationwide this September.
