MainVest Secures $3M in Seed Funding

MainVestMainVest, a Salem, MA-based investment marketplace allowing local businesses to access capital from investors in their community, raised $3m in seed funding.

The round was led by Rucker Park Capital and Lerer Hippeau with participation from the Uber Alumni Syndicate. In conjunction with the funding, Wes Tang-Wymer, General Partner at Rucker Park Capital, joined MainVest’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to grow its local investment marketplace for small businesses.

Led by Nick Mathews, CEO, MainVest is an investment marketplace that connects local entrepreneurs looking for growth capital with investors in their community.
Launched late fall 2018, the Regulation Crowdfunding intermediary regulated by FINRA focuses on the brick and mortar, cash flow generating Main Street businesses from a diverse set of industries, ranging from restaurants, to breweries, to hair salons, to escape rooms.
