Gatik Launches with $4.5M in Seed Funding

gatikGatik, a Palo Alto, CA-based startup deploying autonomous vehicles for business to business (B2B) short-haul logistics, launched with a $4.5m seed funding round.

The round, completed last year, was led by Innovation Endeavors, with participation from Trucks Venture Capital; Dynamo Venture Capital; Fontinalis Partners; and AngelPad.

Founded in 2017 and led by Gautam Narang (CEO), Arjun Narang (CTO), and Apeksha Kumavat, Chief Engineer, Gatik creates autonomous solutions for business urban logistics. Focusing on B2B cargo delivery, the company uses Level 4 automated light trucks and vans to ensure goods are transported efficiently in city environments between business locations.
Gatik serves a variety of use-cases including:
– Third-party logistics (3PL) companies
– Consumer goods distributors
– Food and beverage distributors
– Medical and pharmaceutical distributors
– Auto parts distributors

The company has launched with Walmart (NYSE: WMT) as a partner.
