Edgewise Networks Raises $11M in Financing

EdgewiseEdgewise Networks, a Burlington, Mass.-based microsegmentation platform based on software identity, raised $11m in funding.

The round was led by existing investors .406 Ventures and Accomplice, with participation from Pillar.

The company, which has raised $18m to date, will use the funds to continue to expand its business reach.

Led by Peter Smith, co-founder and chief executive officer, Edgewise Networks provides a machine learning platform that delivers microsegmentation and automatically builds policies that protect any application in any cloud, without any changes to the network.

The solution uses machine learning and advanced analytics to enable the rapid discovery of application communication topology and attack pathways. This real-time visibility allows security teams to microsegment environments with a single click. Policies are enforced no matter where the application resides — on premises, in the cloud, or in a container — and remain in effect even as the underlying network changes.
