Upsie Secures $5M in Funding

upsieUpsie, a Minneapolis-based platform for purchasing product warranties, raised $5m in funding.

The round was led by True Ventures with participation from Techstars Ventures, Matchstick Ventures, Syndicate Fund, and M25, with continued support from past angel investor Marc Belton.

The company will use the funds to increase customer awareness, continue building its warranty product offerings and grow the business.

Created in 2015 by Clarence Bethea, CEO, Upsie protects thousands of devices from smartphones, to appliances, to power tools via affordable warranties, which can be purchased, stored, and accessed by anyone on its website or mobile app.

Customers can also make a claim, and cancel warranties on the platform.
