Upland Software Acquires Kapost, for Up To $50M

uplandUpland Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: UPLD), an Austin, Texas-based provider of cloud-based enterprise work management software, acquired Kapost, a Boulder, CO-based content operations platform provider for sales and marketing.

The purchase price paid for Kapost was $45.0m in cash at closing, and a $5.0m cash holdback payable in 12 months (subject to indemnification claims).

Kapost will add to Upland’s Enterprise Sales Enablement and Customer Experience Management (CXM) solution suites.

Kapost provides a cloud-based content operations platform that unites revenue teams to streamline the content development process at scale.
The platform’s open architecture, set of APIs, and deep collaboration capabilities allow organizations to orchestrate all stages of content planning, production, and distribution. Analytics enable organizations to pinpoint hidden gaps in their content strategy, track content performance, and measure ROI.

Led by Jack McDonald, chairman and CEO, Upland Software provides seven enterprise cloud solution suites that enable more than one million users at over 9,000 accounts to win and engage customers, automate business operations, manage projects and IT costs, and share knowledge throughout the enterprise.
