Fretlink Raises €25M in Series B Funding

fretlinkFretlink, a Paris, France-based trucking marketplace, raised €25m in Series B funding.

Backers included Edenred Capital Partners, TIP, Daphni, Elia Partners, Breega Capital, The Family, SGH Capital, Tekton Ventures, Weaving Invest, and Fabrice Grinda (via his investment fund FJ Labs).

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations, hiring 100 additional people by the end of 2020 and open offices in Germany and Belgium by the end of the second quarter of 2019.

Founded three years ago by CEO Paul Guillemin, CPO Antoine Le Squeren, CTO Frédéric Menou and Didier Duval, Fretlink provides an online platform that connects shippers with trucking companies.
The company, which currently has 80 employees, reported a turnover of €15m in 2018, matching approx. 5,000 customers ranging across retail, FMCG, construction, environment, food & beverage and materials with over 200,000 trucks of all kind (Tautliners, Flatbeds, Cisterns, Hard cover trucks, Dumpers, Tractor trucks, Temperature controlled trucks, Trailer trucks).
