AudienceView Acquires Vendini

audience viewAudienceView, a Toronto, Canada-based provider of e-commerce software for events and entertainment organizations, acquired Vendini, a San Francisco, CA-based all-in-one ticketing and box office management company.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Led by Mark Fowlie, CEO, AudienceView is a provider of solutions that empower the business of live entertainment through innovative technology, media brands and a comprehensive partner ecosystem. Its SaaS software brand OvationTix and the AudienceView platform drive attendee engagement, grow revenue and enable operational efficiencies that support more than 2,000 live event venues, teams and organizations across 15 countries.
Its media brands, TheaterMania and WhatsOnStage, connect millions of theater patrons with live events each month, allowing them to increase attendance at performing arts venues across the US and UK.

Mark Tacchi, founder and CEO, Vendini provides a management platform for venues and promoters to market to fans, manage logistics and sell more tickets.

Together, the two companies are currently processing $3 billion in annual ticketing and fundraising transactions and serve over 8,000 venues globally with approximately 100 million tickets sold each year. The combination of the product portfolios of the two organizations into a single company expands offerings in key markets through a large range of software, services, and audience development solutions. It will continue to grow by adding large-scale customers to its enterprise platform while supporting the rest of the market with software offerings that combine ticketing, fundraising, customer relationship management (CRM), marketing and event logistics.
