WatrHub, Inc., a Toronto, Canada-based provider of water industry information and data platform, acquired SplashLink, a provider of a water industry focused online market intelligence platform.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The acquisition will enable WatrHub to expand its water industry data portfolio.
Founded in 2011 by Ebie Holst, SplashLink provides an online market intelligence platform that specifically aggregated water industry projects, RFPs (Request for Proposals), and funding sources to track market demand.
Led by CEO Ahmed Badruddin, WatrHub specializes in early intelligence into utility pain points and needs, typically one to five years before a utility’s RFP is released. Its services are primarily used by water industry leaders to gain a competitive advantage when pursuing potential municipal water infrastructure projects.
The company is now in the process of merging SplashLink datasets into its Data Warehouse and will soon begin rolling these datasets out to its clients.
