Theator, a San Mateo, CA and Tel Aviv, Israel-based AI-powered surgical decision support company, closed a $3M funding round.
The round was led by StageOne, iAngels and KdTVC.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and development efforts.
Led by Dr. Tamir Wolf, Co-Founder and CEO, Theator is building a SaaS platform to provide surgeons with AI-powered decision support tools. It plans to help surgeons enhance their capabilities and reduce medical errors by leveraging machine learning and computer-vision to identify, optimize and scale dissemination of best practices.
Launched in April 2019, the company’s first product, Minutes, is a highlight reel and analytics tool providing intelligently edited versions of surgical procedures. These are presented to surgeons in a palatable and actionable form in order to help prepare and debrief, quickly, using AI-powered algorithmic insights.
