The Pearl Fund Adds Three New Advisors

venture capitalThe Pearl Fund, an opportunity zone fund that is also a venture capital fund focused on spurring economic development in opportunity zones throughout New York and Pennsylvania, added three new advisors.

The new members are:
– G. Robert (Bob) James, founder and chairman, The Solomon Group. He brings over three decades of experience driving business transformation across the public and private sectors—and is an expert in turnaround management and global business strategy.
– Alysha Light, founder, FLIGHT PR. With over 15 years of public relations experience, Light represents a range of companies from early-stage startups to publicly traded corporations such as Google and Match Group. She previously led corporate communications for global media agency network Starcom MediaVest Group.
– Jinal Shah, principal, Shah Menon & Co. With past roles as VP of e-commerce marketing at Newell Brands (NASDAQ: NWL) and global digital director for WPP’s J. Walter Thompson advertising agency, Shah is a sought-after expert in helping small to mid-sized companies build their marketing and e-commerce capability.

Led by Brian Phillips, founder and managing partner, who has been a founding member of over a dozen startups (two IPOs, two acquisitions and one sold via an MBO), The Pearl Fund is an opportunity zone fund that is also a venture capital fund investing in early-stage startups and their founders. It focuses on high-potential businesses that can yield a 10X+ return.
