Swoot Launches With $3M in Seed Funding

Swoot, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a listening and discovery podcast app, officially launched with $3m in seed funding.

The round was led by True Ventures.

Co-founded in 2016 by Pete Curley and Garret Heaton, Swoot is building a podcast platform where people connect with their friends, discover shows, and suggest podcasts to friends. The app is available for download on iOS in the App Store and Android in the Android Play Store.

Curley and Heaton previously founded HipChat, which sold to Atlassian in 2012 and was then acquired by Slack in 2019.
