Spot.IM Raises $25M in Series D Funding

spotimSpot.IM, a NYC-based social engagement and community platform for digital publishers, raised $25m in Series D funding.

The round was led by Insight Venture Partners with participation from Norma Investments, representing businessman Roman Abramovich, AltaIR Capital, Cerca, and WGI Group (founded by Noah Goodhart, Jonah Goodhart, and Mike Walrath.

Additionally, Spot.IM has appointed technology and media executive, Itzik Ben-Bassat, as President of the company and a member of its Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Led by Nadav Shoval, CEO, Spot.IM provides Digital media publishers with is a social engagement platform that builds online communities around digital content via engagement and community moderation tools.
The company works with publishers to bring conversations back from social networks to publisher sites. From live conversations to real-time notifications and deep user profiles to live-blogging and more, the products serve as integral parts of their partners’ sites.
Spot.IM also has an office in Tel-Aviv Yafo, Israel.
