Coursera Raises $103M in Series E Funding

courseraCoursera, a Mountain View, CA-based online learning platform, closed a $103m Series E equity funding round.

The round was led by SEEK Group (ASX: SEK), a global leader in investing, scaling and operating online employment and education businesses, with participation from existing investors Future Fund and New Enterprise Associates (NEA).

The company intends to use the funds to further expand internationally and to accelerate the development of its platform.

Founded by Daphne Koller and Andrew Ng and led by Jeff Maggioncalda, CEO, Coursera provides a learning platform featuring 3,200 courses and 310 Specializations that currently serves 40 million learners, 1,800 businesses, and over 150 top universities in high-demand areas of business administration, data science, computer science, and public health.
Coursera’s enterprise offering, Coursera for Business, has more than 1,800 customers.
The company is also backed by Kleiner Perkins, GSV Capital and Learn Capital.
