CareMonkey Raises $1.5M in Seed Funding

caremonkeyCareMonkey, a Melbourne, Australia-based online system which allows schools to streamline their paper workflow processes with a digital forms platform, raised $1.5m (AUD$2.2m) in seed funding.

The round was led by Peter Bencivenga with participation from New Ground Ventures and Rethink Education.

The company, which has scaled to over 500 schools in Australia, intends to use the funds to accelerate growth in the U.S. and U.K. markets and to expand its product offering.

Founded in 2013 and led by Troy Westley, CEO, CareMonkey is a software platform for schools to go paperless and enable:
– Parents to respond to forms for field trips, payments, medical updates, policy updates, parent-teacher conferences and other consents; and
– Schools and districts for managing administrative workflows such as streamlining staff approvals, tutoring registrations, supply request, fee reimbursement, professional development tracking, asset management, technology repair and school maintenance management.
It is currently used in schools and school districts throughout Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
