Bankin’, a Paris, France-based app that connects with banks manage money, raised €20m in Series B funding.
The backer remained undisclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to:
– accelerate its development efforts,
– add people to the tech, marketing and coaching teams with more than 20 new hires planned by the end of the year (reaching 70 employees).
Led by Joan Burkovic, CEO, Bankin’ aims to make money management simple and transparent via an application whose hybrid model combines intelligent algorithms and human coaching.
Its intelligent algorithms are able to detect savings opportunities customized for users and adapted to their situation.
People can also chat with real human coaches to seize savings opportunities and optimize money. Coaches are not intended to sell products or banking services, but to help them optimize finances.
The app is currently used by almost 3m people in France, England, Spain and Germany.
