Passbase Raises €530k in Funding

passbasePassbase, a London, UK-based digital identity verification solution provider, raised €530k in funding.

Backers included Alphabet, Stanford, Kleiner Perkins, EY, Upheaval, and Seedcamp.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to advance its solutions and bring it to market.

Co-founded by Felix Gerlach, Mathias Klenk, and Dave McGibbon, Passbase leverages is building a self-sovereign identity platform backed by verified government documents, linked social media accounts, and biometric signatures. This allows people to securely & privately share their login credentials and verified government documents with the companies & institutions that need them.

To this end, the company’s full stack solution leverages biometric authentication, public-key cryptography, and machine intelligence.
