Cleo Raises $27.5M in Series B Funding

cleoCleo, a San Francisco, CA-based support system for working parents, raised $27.5m in Series B funding.

The round was led by New Enterprise Associates with participation from:
– Marissa Mayer,
– Jeff Weiner,
– Chip Bergh,
– Aaron Levie and
– Jeff Immelt.
In conjunction with the funding, NEA Partner Vanessa Larco joined Cleo’s board.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations.

Founded in 2016 and led by CEO Shannon Spanhake, Cleo is a family support system, helping parents navigate the complexities of parenthood, from fertility all the way through childhood, picking up where the healthcare system ends. The platform provides parents with in-depth content, community and a global network of certified practitioners in fields like lactation, career coaching, couples therapy and sleep training.
Cleo’s b2b2c model has enabled the company to scale faster. Today, more than 475,000 employees across 50 countries working at companies like eBay, Slack, Straus Creamery, and Uber have access to the platform.
